When he was called to the bar in 2020, Jeff Maxwell started his practice in Terrace, British Columbia before moving to Kamloops in 2023. His emphasis is family and criminal law. Although his preferred practice approach is to resolve matters without a contested court application whenever possible to keep costs reasonable, he understands that sometimes contesting matters in court is necessary to advance client interests, and he has no qualms in doing so. Jeff has represented clients in the British Columbia Provincial and Superior Courts of British Columbia in criminal and family matters.

In the Criminal sphere has represented clients on assaults, sexual offences, motor vehicle offences, and administrative offences , and obtained acquittals for his clients in all these areas. In family matters Jeff has had settlements and successful litigation in cases involving child custody, spousal support, and child support. Outside the office Jeff keeps busy skiing, mountain biking, and enjoying all the great outdoor activities Kamloops has to offer.
